You might notice you react to small things with a force that feels bigger than the moment calls for. Or you catch yourself being harshly critical of yourself in a voice that doesn't even sound like your own. Maybe there's a version of you that only appears in certain relationships — more guarded, more managed, less like yourself. You know logically these reactions don't always fit the moment, but naming that doesn't make them stop.

That's not a character flaw, and it's not you being "too much." Those are parts of you — each one formed for a reason, each one still trying to protect you the only way it knows how.
